WORKING FOR JACKSON COUNTY'S PETS AND PEOPLE IS OUR MISSION ...
Every year, hundreds of unwanted puppies and kittens are born in Jackson County. Some find homes; others are abandoned on rural roads or outside farms and businesses. Every week, hungry, frightened dogs and cats are found wandering the roads and fields, left behind when folks can't or won't care for them. Some find homes; others are hit by cars or die from disease, starvation and predators. It's a bad situation that nobody wants.
FJCAS wants to tackle these problems from every angle. Our plan: To ADOPT out homeless, hurting animals into permanent, loving homes; to BUILD a shelter to care for homeless animals until they find forever families; to create a FOSTER network of safe, temporary care while we work toward a shelter; to FEED PETS IN NEED, keeping animals in their own good homes by helping owners financially; and to SPAY/NEUTER at a deep discount to owners (including vaccines), reducing the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Jackson County while helping keep our County's pets healthy.

Spay/neuter helps pets live longer, healthier lives while preventing litters of puppies and kittens with no homes.

Thanks to our wonderful donors, FJCAS has acquired land and is planning Phase 1 of our shelter build!

It's a miracle, the difference a foster can make to an animal waiting for their forever family.

It takes a community to build and run a shelter. Our incredible team of volunteers and supporters are doing so much, but there is still so much more to do! Time, talent, dedication, love and funds - we need it all.
